While those markets remain central to the firm’s offering, but over the years Silk Invest has also developed new strategies and partnerships, which will be central to our future growth.
Silk Invest has since 2008 established itself as a leading frontier and emerging markets specialist with deep insights across major asset classes in our regions. From hubs in London and Casablanca, with additional staff in select markets, Silk Invest leverages deep local insights and networks to source and execute the best opportunities for our strategies. Silk Invest manages equity, fixed income, and private equity mandates in Frontier and Emerging Markets in addition to a real estate platform in Africa.
Our primary investment focus is Africa, the Middle East, and Emerging Asia with an emphasis on markets where our professionals have local language and cultural skills to engage with companies and intermediaries in the target regions. Silk Invest has pioneered investment strategies that capture consumer-driven trends in these markets, including launching the first pan-African private equity fund focused on the value-added food sector.
Moving into the future, Silk Invest wants to deepen its proposition and bring together new investment talents across major, emerging themes.
Silk Invest is regulated by the UK FCA and registered with the US SEC. The firm has been a signatory to the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investing since 2009 and integrates responsibility principles in all our investments.
